The Needle Trick

Last night David and I went to visit my friend Piper, her husband Justin and new baby girl (Emmeline Kay) born 11/7/10.  Piper's mom is in town helping her with the baby and things around the house while they get settled back at home and in some kind of newborn care routine.  I must say Piper sure made the birth sound easy and she seems very relaxed in her new role as mommy.  Anyhow, Piper's mom told me about the "Needle Trick" and wanted to see what it would tell me.  According to this method, I'm currently carrying a boy and will have one more baby after him which will be a girl.  We'll see how accurate this is as of 11/22 at our 20 week ultrasound!  Check out this video for the needle trick details: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvC6tQEgAZ8

Also, today was a week 18 check-up.  Everything seems to be going along just fine.  David joined me for this visit so we got to hear the heartbeat again.  It's kind of a relief to hear that at every appointment since I don't really look pregnant yet and I'm feeling totally "normal".  I'm ready to start feeling some movement which will happen very soon!
