Sorry for the lack of posts lately. December flew by and we were both really busy. This weekend we decided to get on the ball and get some of the important baby list crossed off. The weather was amazing on Saturday and as you can see by the pic below, the dogs were sunning and enjoying it. We had the nursery painted - David did the priming but I could not help b/c of the paint fumes. He ended up calling a contractor friend to finish the 2 coats of color on the walls and the ceiling. The color is called Silver Peony and it turned out beautiful. They did and awesome job! We also moved the crib and changing table/dresser into the room and got a pretty purple rug from Ikea to tie everything together. Moving the crib ended up not being a simple task. We needed about 2 more inches to get it through the door so David had to take a side off the crib and we also had to remove the door from its hinges. Luckily the crib is pretty simple to assemble so it didn't slow us down too much. (see video). The only thing left to do to get the baby room ready is to relocate the dog closet. Anyway, the room looks great and Baby Girl Perque will have a great view out to the park and a very comfortable, calming room. Also, our friends Sal and Alex gave us their car seat which is pretty much like new. We took all the fabric off of it, washed it and cleaned all the parts. Re-assembling it was quite comical. David and I could not remember where all the straps and buckles went so we ended up finding a guide online to help. It's as good as new now!
Enjoy the pics and video below! Until next time... xoxo
